Review: Rimmel Kate Moss Long Lasting lipstick (shade 8)

Helloooooo, today i have a review on the Rimmel Kate Moss long lasting lipstick (woohoo)

I bought this lipstick in shade 8 which is a pink colour, it is really pigmented but for me, i can't say it was long lasting.

About
This lipstick was created by Kate Moss exclusively for Rimmel.
As it has an exclusive black diamond pigment complex, light reflects off of it slightly which gives your lips a kind of shiny look without the glossy look of lip gloss.

Pigmentation and long lasting
I believe that the lipstick is quite pigmented and when applied to the lips it leaves a nice bold colour that looks fab. However, to say that it lasts up to 8 hours is a no-no, the maximum it stayed on for without looking awful was 4 hours. As i said before, because of the light-reflective properties of it, it gives off a natural shine without the need to use lip gloss over the top.

Packaging
The packaging is lovely. It is a black tube (like the normal lipsticks you get) but it is matte. Around the middle there is a glossy block strip which says 'Rimmel London' on it. At the top of the tube, on the slanted bit, you can see the logo engraved onto it, which is a crown. But, my favourite part of the packaging is the 'Kate' signature that is printed onto the tube in a pinky-red colour. I just love the way the colour stands out against the black.

I would recommend this product to everyone!

Hello Autumn

Finally, one of my favourite seasons is arriving!!

10 things I love about Autumn

1. Crisp, misty morning where you can see your breath

2. Rosy cheeks

3. Spider webs bejewelled with dew in the early mornings

4. Cosy evenings, snuggled with a hot drink, a blanket and films/books

5. The pretty mix of autumn colours (reds, oranges, browns)

6. Walking and kicking through the crispy leaves once they have fallen

7. Woolly jumpers, scarves, gloves and blankets

8. The excitement building up for Christmas and my birthday

9. The feeling of being cold and having to wrap up warm

10. Hot drinks that warm you up on the colder nights

There is just something about Autumn that makes me happy. I'm not sure if it is the scents of the season, the pretty colours, the fashion or the excitement for Christmas and my birthday, but something makes Autumn special. I LOVE IT!

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturising Lip Balm

(I have NOT used my own photos as my camera is in repair and i wanted to post this review asap. Just for clarification i am not saying that these are my own photos!)

As i have said in a previous post, i HATE lip butters/balms where you have to use your finger to apply it. I first heard about the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm when 'Zoella' filmed a 'Florida haul' on YouTube. At the time, Baby Lips weren't available in the UK, so when i saw that they were selling them in Boots (my local drugstore as Americans would call it) i was so so excited and had to purchase one.

Baby Lips are more tinted lip balms rather than heavily pigmented. The lip balm i bought was Peach Kiss, which is a shimmery nude colour. I believe that this is the only shimmery lip balm, and all of the others are quite sheer. The consistency is not heavy, thick or waxy as i have heard some people call them. It is a thinner balm that feel sleek on the lips and still moisturises well. The balm has a light fragrance to it

Overall, the packaging is sooo cute, the balm feels lovely on my lips and doesn't feel greasy, they give a slight colour to the lips whilst also moisturising and providing protection for my lips, which is something i need during the autumn(fall)/winter as my lips become dry.

One downside about this product....i need all of the lip balms asap! (haha)

Review: Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation (light vanilla)

As you might have seen, i went on a little shopping trip and ended up buying the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation along with some other products. I had heard a lot about this foundation and was curious to see how good (or bad) it was.

It has 3 colour correcting pigments: yellow pigments – conceals dark circles for a rested look, mauve pigments – corrects dullness and green pigments – neutralises redness. I totally agree with this! I tend to have redness on my cheeks and this foundation covered it and left my skin looking amazing!

Bourjois claims that the foundation lasts up to 16 hours, which i don't agree with but i do know for a fact that it stays well in the rain.
I walked home from school whilst it was raining today and my foundation stayed looking good woohoo!

I have to confess, i am awful at remembering to moisturise but with this i have to as it does dry out my dry patches even more (i have a combination skin type). This foundation does my skin wonders, it leaves my skin looking even and covers my blemishes well.

I LOVE IT! As a plus, it smells a-ma-zing! haha.

Review: Simple Spotless Skin Triple Action Face Wash

I noticed that I was breaking out more and decided I needed to find a face wash that was specifically for spots. I came across the Simple Spotless Skin Triple Action face wash.

This face wash is "a blend of spot fighting ingredients and natural antibacterial goodness to deeply cleanse, purify and tone removing hidden dirt and unclogging pores." It contains Zinc PCA to absorb excess oils, Chamomile skin soothing anti - irritant and Witch Hazel to tone and tighten pores. It also contains Phytosphingosine which helps fight spots and blemishes.

Simple claim that you will see results within 1 day, however I didn't notice changes this quickly but i did see improvements in my skin within a few days. It is dermatologically tested and approved and it perfect for sensitive skin, but can be used if you have normal skin as well.

It definitely made my skin smoother, made my blemishes look smaller and helped control the amount of break outs I had. I would 100% recommend the Simple Face Wash, I love love love this product!

If you would like to buy this product you can get it directly from Simple or you can buy it from Boots.

Review: Bee Lovely Hand Cream (cruelty free)

During the winter my hands become very dry, very quickly. I was all prepared with my hand cream ready to fight against the horrid weather and I was determined to keep my hands moisturised throughout the winter. I hated the hand cream I was using as it was sticky and took ages to absorb. I was desperate to find the perfect one!

I came across the Neal's Yard Bee Lovely hand cream and I was instantly intrigued as I thought the graphics on the tube was fun with a hint of class, without looking tacky.

This hand cream has quite a thick consistency without being heavy. It moisturises beautifully and the effect lasts a long time which kept me hands feeling soft and hydrated for a long period of time. With this hand cream you don't need to apply a lot (roughly a pea sized amount) as a little goes a long way. The Bee Lovely

Although the hand cream is described as a blend of organic honey and orange essential oil, the orange scent is quite powerful when first applied which overpowers the honey scent.

For a 50ml tube of the Bee Lovely hand cream it costs £10. This may seem a lot for a little amount but as only a small amount is needed at any one time, this product last a good few months (if used daily). It is well worth the money!

"Nourishing organic honey is blended with energising orange essential oil to nourish the skin and lift the spirits."

I would definitely recommend this product as I am totally in love with the results it leaves on my skin!

On the 25th of February Neal's Yard handed in petitions to 10 Downing Street in order to raise awareness to save the bees and to bring it to the attention of the Prime Minister David Cameron.
