Glossy Box: Beauty in a Box!

I am back with a post about Glossy Box!

Glossy Box is a subscription service who send you a box (it's glossy) every month full of beauty treats ranging from the coolest razors to mascara to face wash. They have experts that look at all the latest trends to come up with beauty essentials for the month. They work with so many brands including Essie, Kueshi, Rituals, Simple and many many more.

I had a 6 month subscription from Glossy Box last year and I loved it! It's like Christmas every month and who can turn that down? The items are beautifully packaged in a pretty box, wrapped in tissue paper with a cute little ribbon tying it together. Inside the box you will find 5 products with a little card telling you what the products are, if they are full size or not, the prices of each individual item and they even include a discount code for some of them. Amazing!

As I loved it so much last year, this year I decided I would go all out and buy the 12 month subscription plan! I am so excited to see what they put in the boxes this year.

Other information
monthly plan - £10 per month
3 month plan - £9.50 per month
6 month plan - £9 per month
12 month plan - £8.50 per month

Hello my lovelies,

I know it might seem a little crazy to be talking about Christmas as it is still October, but with 69 days until the big day, I cannot control my excitement!!

As I have been watching Christmas films, listening to Christmas songs and doing a bit of online Christmas shopping today, i thought that i would do the Christmas Tag!

1. When do you start getting excited about Christmas?
Well, I usually start getting excited sometime during September because the summer holidays have just ended and it's the next big holiday, but this year I have been singing Christmas songs since February!! (haha)

2. Do you still have advent calendars?
Yes I do, my grandma gives me a Christmas tree calendar every year and she buys 24 little presents and puts them in the boxes, it's a 'fill it yourself' calendar which is really cute!

3. What are your favourite Christmas films?
My favourite is probably elf. There is another one but I can't remember what it is called.

4. Who do you spend your Christmas with?
I spend Christmas day with my mum, dad, sister, nan, grandma, cousin, auntie and uncle! It usually everyone at my house or everyone at my uncles house.

5. Have you ever built a gingerbread house?
No, but I really want to!

6. What do you eat for Christmas Dinner?
Dinner is: turkey/chicken, sausages wrapped in bacon, vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.

7. Do you have any Christmas traditions?
The order in which Christmas day happens is sort of the tradition

8. What are your favourite Christmas songs?
Tom Jones & Cerys Matthews - Baby, it's cold outside
Justin Bieber - Mistletoe
Mariah Carey - All I want for Christmas is you
Wizzard - I wish it could be Christmas everyday

9. What is your favourite Christmas colour?
Burgundy/Red and Gold

10. Real or fake Christmas tree?
Fake fake fake fake all the way!

Topshop Martie Patent T Bar Geek Shoes

Hello my lovelies,

I have finally found my favourite pair of shoes! YAY!

These super cute T Bar shoes arrived at my front door on Thursday, i was so eager to wear them, i ended up wearing them on Friday (haha). They are much nicer than ordinary flats!

Perfect when matched with white frilly socks
As my mum pointed out, they are very similar to one of my first pair of shoes ever from when i was a baby, but they were just too adorable not to buy. I mean, yes they are a bit pricey just to buy just because of memories, but i'm a risk taker!

My ones are stored somewhere in my Mum and Dad's room but here are some that look very similar to the ones i had when i was a baby!! How cute!!

When wearing these shoes for the first time on Friday, i literally fell in love with them. They fit perfectly, they are very good quality, supportive and you can pair them with the majority of clothing items. I did get 1 blister on the back of my foot, but that always happens when wearing new shoes for the first time right?

I love to match them up with skater skirts, rolled up jeans or a smock dress with white frilly socks
When wearing these shoes at school, i got a lot of compliments and i am so glad that i purchased these.

    £32 from Topshop
If you would like to check them out you can click here
They also do them in white, blue and an orange/red.

Review: Rimmel Kate Moss Long Lasting lipstick (shade 8)

Helloooooo, today i have a review on the Rimmel Kate Moss long lasting lipstick (woohoo)

I bought this lipstick in shade 8 which is a pink colour, it is really pigmented but for me, i can't say it was long lasting.

This lipstick was created by Kate Moss exclusively for Rimmel.
As it has an exclusive black diamond pigment complex, light reflects off of it slightly which gives your lips a kind of shiny look without the glossy look of lip gloss.

Pigmentation and long lasting
I believe that the lipstick is quite pigmented and when applied to the lips it leaves a nice bold colour that looks fab. However, to say that it lasts up to 8 hours is a no-no, the maximum it stayed on for without looking awful was 4 hours. As i said before, because of the light-reflective properties of it, it gives off a natural shine without the need to use lip gloss over the top.

The packaging is lovely. It is a black tube (like the normal lipsticks you get) but it is matte. Around the middle there is a glossy block strip which says 'Rimmel London' on it. At the top of the tube, on the slanted bit, you can see the logo engraved onto it, which is a crown. But, my favourite part of the packaging is the 'Kate' signature that is printed onto the tube in a pinky-red colour. I just love the way the colour stands out against the black.

I would recommend this product to everyone!

Hello Autumn

Finally, one of my favourite seasons is arriving!!

10 things I love about Autumn

1. Crisp, misty morning where you can see your breath

2. Rosy cheeks

3. Spider webs bejewelled with dew in the early mornings

4. Cosy evenings, snuggled with a hot drink, a blanket and films/books

5. The pretty mix of autumn colours (reds, oranges, browns)

6. Walking and kicking through the crispy leaves once they have fallen

7. Woolly jumpers, scarves, gloves and blankets

8. The excitement building up for Christmas and my birthday

9. The feeling of being cold and having to wrap up warm

10. Hot drinks that warm you up on the colder nights

There is just something about Autumn that makes me happy. I'm not sure if it is the scents of the season, the pretty colours, the fashion or the excitement for Christmas and my birthday, but something makes Autumn special. I LOVE IT!
